Top tips for moving home

- Sort out your utilities
Turn off your water and don’t’ forget to write down or take pictures of your gas and electric metres. Moving home is also a great opportunity to review all your utility providers. Don’t just carry your contract over to your new home, shop around to make sure you’re getting the best deal.
- Don't lose connection
Sort out your internet in advance. From televisions to our messaging apps, so much of the way we live our lives now relies on the internet. Speak to your chosen internet provider beforehand to make sure you’re ahead of the game, as there could be a few weeks waiting list for installation.
- Tell the postie
We’ve all moved into a new home and received months of letters meant for the previous owner. You can hope that the new owner will return to sender but speaking to the Royal Mail and arranging a mail redirection will ensure you don’t miss anything important.
